My Approach to Nutrition for Mothers
As a mother to 3 young children I have seen and experienced first hand the impact that the seasons of motherhood can have on our health. Our children and our families require all of our time, attention, and energy and it often leaves us feeling as though we don't have time to care for ourselves. But let me ask you this, how are we expected to give our all to our families when we haven’t taken care of our own needs?

As a Nutrition Therapy Practitioner for mothers, I believe in a bio-individualized approach to nutrition and health. No matter what season of motherhood you are in, I focus first and foremost on the foundations of your health. When we prioritize a strong foundation, our body has the stability it needs to carry us through each season of our lives as women. The physical, emotional, and mental toll that motherhood can bring is sure to have an impact on your overall health, but in understanding your body and how to best support it through nutrition, you will be better equipped to face those challenging seasons. We have been given the greatest privilege to bring children into this world and we deserve to feel our best throughout this journey we are on.

What are some common health goals for mothers in Nutrition Therapy?Every woman is unique in their health concerns, their health history, and ultimately their health goals which is why I feel so strongly in taking an individualized approach with each client I work with. Some of the most common goals I hear from mothers are wanting to eat healthier, weight loss, alleviating digestive discomfort and regaining their energy. When we address the foundations we will see that many of these health goals will simply become the outcome of addressing dysfunction with our blood sugar, digestion, fatty acids, mineral balance, and hydration.

What can I expect from Nutrition Therapy?Nutrition therapy starts first with an initial interview and assessment where we will review your intake questionnaire, health history, current concerns and health goals. Based on our initial assessment I will then put together an individualized plan with nutrition, supplement, and lifestyle recommendations. We will discuss these on a recommendations call and together will develop actionable steps to work towards your long term health goals. We will have quick weekly check-ins for any questions or concerns you might have and will meet monthly to check on progress and make any adjustments if needed. Functional Nutrition therapy is about understanding the root of your concerns and establishing a healthy foundation of which you feel you are able to maintain even through the changing seasons of motherhood.
